When Men in Black III re-starts production next month, Alice Eve will play the younger version of Men in Black Agency head Emma Thompson in the time travel storyline. The British actress plays Olivia, hired as secretary for the Agency in 1969. While it appears she was given the job because of her looks, Olivia is actually whip smart. Sure enough, in the contemporary storyline, Thompson runs the place. Will Smith’s Agent J character is forced to travel back in time to team up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save the world. Eve just completed production on The Decoy Bride and starred with John Cusack in The Raven. She’s repped by Untitled, UTA and Artists Right Group. MIB III has extended a pre-planned holiday hiatus. With a skeleton staff in place, the filmmakers are taking extra time to hone the script. Director Barry Sonnenfeld has already assembled the footage shot so far, and insiders said that the film is still on track for its May 25, 2012 release by Sony Pictures.

Though she was, yesterday, rumored to be in competition for a part in Zack Snyder’s Superman, Diane Kruger now says there’s no truth to the story.
“No,” the actress said today, immediately following the press conference for her latest film, Unknown, “it’s not true.”
Kruger was allegedly in competition against both Alice Eve and Rosamund Pike for an unknown female lead, said not to be the character of Lois Lane. While it’s possible that even her denial is part of the secretive nature of the project, it does cast some doubt on the rumors currently linked to both the part and to the alleged short list.
An official cast is expected to be announced soon, though, as filming on Superman is expected to start this summer for a December, 2012 release.

With Henry Cavill set for Zack Snyder’s Superman, the attention is shifting to the female lead, and Variety is reporting that three actresses are in contention for the role – though it’s not Lois Lane. Alice Eve is mentioned among the actresses. This would be wonderful for her! But keep in mind its just a rumor.
Filming is expected to start this summer for a December, 2012 release.
The Press release:
With Henry Cavill set as the Man of Steel, Warner Bros. now moves on to its female lead, and a short list of contenders is coming together.
Alice Eve, Diane Kruger and Rosamund Pike have emerged as the three thesps being considered for the character, whose identity hasn’t been disclosed — but it’s not Lois Lane.
Early reports had names such as Rachel McAdams and Kristen Stewart as female leads, but sources tell Variety that the studio doesn’t want a name that could overshadow its leading man.
Eve has the most modest resume, but has seen her profile grow in the last year after starring in Paramount’s She’s Out of My League. Besides Superman, Eve was also considered one of the front runners for roles in X-Men: First Class and Captain America: The First Avenger.

Luke Evans and Alice Eve are in negotiations to star opposite John Cusack in The Raven, the Edgar Allan Poe-centered period thriller being directed by James McTeigue.
Evans steps into the shoes vacated by Jeremy Renner, who was slated to star in the picture but in late August segued instead to Mission: Impossible IV.
Evans will play a detective who partners with Poe (Cusack) to search for a serial killer who has kidnapped the author’s fiancee (Eve) and gone on a murder spree that mimics the author’s work. The project begins shooting in late October, with Budapest and Serbia standing in for 1849 Baltimore.
Eve, who turned heads in She’s Out of My League, recently wrapped the British comedy The Decoy Bride and is shooting the thriller ATM.

A bit of casting news for the upcoming thriller ATM … a withdrawal and a deposit if you will! That’s right, kids! Let’s talk who will be cashing those checks for terror!
According to an article over at The Winnepeg Free Press Alice Eve (She’s Out of My League) will be replacing Margarita Levieva in David Brooks’ ATM.
She joins the previously announced Josh Peck (The Wackness), Brian Geraghty (The Hurt Locker). Eve has taken the role of the female co-worker trapped at the titular bank machine, according to a local producer. ATM is filming on location at night in Fort Garry for its 20-day shoot.
The plot follows three co-workers who stop off at an ATM on the way home from a Christmas party. From there, the rest of the story is set primarily in the ATM vestibule, and never leaves the supermarket parking lot. Seems that they’re trapped by a menacing man in a hooded parka, with no way of escape.

Who would have thought that Captain America has connections to Carrie Bradshaw?
A well-placed source tells me that British actress Alice Eve, 28, is the front-runner to play Peggy Carter in the much chattered about upcoming superhero movie The First Avenger: Captain America.
You may not know Eve by name (yet), but…
She’s the blond beauty in the recently released She’s Out of My League. She’ll also be seen next month in the second Sex and the City movie playing Charlotte’s nanny.
